Fortress Products USA
Fortress Products USA was created after the successful design and build of the Fortress Bowfishing arrow rest. My goal is to make durable American made products that eliminate frustration and allow you to have fun and enjoy the sport.
My PASSION
Bowfishing
Bowfishing became a passion in my late teens. A buddy and I watched a bowfishing DVD and decided we would put an AMS Bottle Retriever on our old hunting bows. We would walk the banks of Swift Creek and shoot at Gar. After shooting what felt like 1,000 times, we ended the night with a few hits, and I have been hooked ever since. I went from purchasing a used fishing boat and ratchet strapping halogen work lights to designing a fully custom bowfishing boat with Prodigy. After years of bowfishing and using some of the best products on the market, I recognized there was an opportunity to improve the design and functionality of various bowfishing equipment.
Personal
As long as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion to design and build. As a young adult, I had a calling to join the US Army Infantry at the age of 18. After 7 years, 3 deployments, and a combat infantryman’s badge, the passion to build and design remained. I enrolled in college to obtain my welding certification and began working in the industrial repair industry welding, designing parts and troubleshooting machinery. It was during this time I found I had a knack for identifying high failure components and redesigning solutions. An unexpected layoff inspired me to start my fabrication and welding business. I soon realized drawing and designing parts with pen and paper was not going to cut it. I went back to college to learn how to draw 3d models. This new skill allowed me to bring my design ideas to life. Cerakote application certification brought color and protection to these designs.
